Why Reiki Now?
It’s been a while since I’ve written here. A big part of that had to do with the season of life I just moved out of.
Life was full. Between training clients, growing a business, booster club responsibilities, and keeping up with my kids’ sports schedules, I felt like I was on the go all the time. I thought, heading into that season, that I could do it all. And for a while, I did.
But in the middle of all that chaos, I had a forced pause. And that’s when I felt a shift beginning to take place. More on that story in a moment.
After nearly six months of nonstop motion, I finally cleared space and gave myself permission to rest. Not just physically, but emotionally. That’s when I began to feel what had been missing. It was quiet, but it was undeniable.I didn’t just need a break. I needed a reset.
That’s when Reiki came back into focus. Not as something on the side, but as something I was being called to lead with.

What is Reiki, Really?
Let’s keep it simple. Reiki is a gentle, energy-based practice that helps the body shift out of stress and back into balance. It works by supporting the flow of energy through the body, bringing calm, clarity, and a deeper sense of connection.
There’s no pressure. No performance. No need for you to do anything at all.
As the practitioner, I use light, intentional touch—or sometimes no touch at all—to guide energy through the body. I tune in to your energy centers, also called chakras, and notice where there may be tension, depletion, or holding. From there, I act as a channel, helping clear, balance, and restore the natural rhythm of your system.
You simply rest. That’s it.
You don’t have to believe in anything specific or be into energy work for Reiki to work. It’s not religious. And it’s not “woo.”
This is about creating space for your body and mind to reset. For many people, Reiki feels like a break from the sensory overload of life. A moment to exhale, to soften, and to feel yourself land back in your own body.
During a session, you might feel warmth, stillness, or a deep sense of relaxation. You may feel emotions rise up, or you may just feel calm. Sometimes, it feels like nothing is happening… and yet, something quietly shifts.
Reiki meets you exactly where you are and gently brings you back to where you need to be.
So… Why Now?
Because we’re exhausted. Because we’ve been living in survival mode for far too long.
Especially in midlife, when you’ve spent years holding it all together for everyone else. The roles are shifting, the responsibilities are heavy, and no one’s really asking how you’re doing. You’re just expected to keep going.
But what if you didn’t?
What if, instead of pushing through, you paused?
For me, that pause was forced. And uncomfortable. But it was also necessary.
After months of juggling it all, my nervous system was showing signs I couldn’t ignore. Elevated heart rate, irritability, racing thoughts, and deep fatigue that no amount of sleep could touch. That’s when I knew I didn’t just need to slow down. I needed to reset my rhythm.
Reiki gave me that. It offered a space where I didn’t have to explain, achieve, or even speak. Just be.
And now, I know I’m not the only one who needs that kind of reset.
The women I work with are strong, capable, and deeply intuitive. But they’re tired. Tired of doing, tired of fixing, tired of living in a body that feels like it’s constantly bracing for something.
Reiki offers something different. A soft landing. A breath. A way back to your own rhythm.
What Reiki Has Opened Up for Me (And Can for You)
Reiki reminded me that transformation doesn’t always roar in. Sometimes, it whispers.
For me, it’s been the thing that’s helped me slow down without guilt. It’s helped me breathe a little deeper and feel like I’m back in my body again. It’s where I go when I need to realign—not just physically, but emotionally and energetically.
I’ve seen it do the same for others too.
Some clients leave a session feeling deeply relaxed, almost like they’ve woken up from the best nap of their life. Others feel a wave of emotions move through—things they didn’t even know they were holding onto. And sometimes, it’s just a quiet feeling of “I didn’t realize how much I needed that.”
Reiki isn’t about fixing. You’re not broken. But when life pulls you in a hundred directions, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself.
This work helps you come home.
Back to your breath. Back to your body. Back to your own inner rhythm.
